The mission of Small & Medium Enterprises Committee is to help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to be competitive in order to sustain and grow in the present business environment.

The SME Committee makes all possible efforts to take up the appropriate matters with the authorities at local, state and central government level. The SME Committee also participates actively is helping the government in policy decision- making process by way of constructive contributions.

Need based Seminars & Training programs on various topics are arranged for the SME owners and employees to facilitate exposure to latest knowledge & skills, latest trends & developments in the market and so on. Experts in respective fields are invited from time to time for Lectures-Presentations on various topics related with the day to day working of the SMEs. These programmes provide opportunities for SMEs to gain valuable inputs in several areas such as bringing down various costs, upgrade the knowledge & skill sets of the owners and employees, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the organizations etc.

Relevant information concerning SMEs like government notifications, circulars, acts, guidelines, success stories etc. are disseminated to the members through e-mail and various Chamber publications.

SME Committee also provides ISO-9001:2000 Pre-certification Consultancy Service through a panel of qualified and experienced consultants. The purpose is to make reliable & professional service available for the interested members at a reasonable fees.
