The city is a home to the Indian operations of major automobile companies and several other industries. There are thousands of engineering units of various sizes including those of the major auto manufacturers, and as such, this area is often referred to as the ‘Detroit of East’. 

MCCIA is one of the premier Chambers of Commerce in India, has a separate Committee and a branch office to render services and help industrial units located in Pimpri, Chinchwad, Bhosari, Chakan, Talegaon, Chikhali and surrounding areas in the matters of their interests and concerns..

1. Facilitate proper security and safe working conditions in the Pimpri, Chinchwad, Bhosari and surrounding industrial area in league with MIDC, Local Self Government and the Police department.


2. Persuade the government to declare Pimpri, Chinchwad, Bhosari notified area as an Industrial Township.


3. Reduction in MIDC Water Charges.


4. Relaxation on MIDC Rule of 20% Construction.


5. Octroi Related issues.


6. Property Tax related issues.


7. Any other issue cropped up from time to time.
