Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries& Agriculture  Ahmednagar Branch office is very actively serving Industries with proper information and constant mutual dialogue with concerned authorities during last four decades. This Branch has served district assistance as a catalyst for growth of Industries and Environment. Protecting Environment by organizing mass Plantation making Green Belts in MIDC Area. MCCIA organizing various programs to increase awareness about Safety & Global warming. It has been  providing Posters ,Slogans, Banners etc.  Branch has  its own Building with Office, Library and Meeting Hall.

 

 
 
Location of Ahmednagar : 
 

Ahmednagar is located midway between Pune & Aurangabad and is 120 km away from both sides connected by state Highway, like wise Ahmednagar is convenient   to Pune and Aurangabad Airports. It is also connected by Trains on Pune - Delhi Sector & Bangalore to Delhi. 

 

The District place Ahmednagar has many places of Historical importance including Ahmednagar fort where many national heroes of Indian Freedom Struggle including Late Pandit Jawaharlal  Nehru were detained during Indian freedom movement. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru wrote his  famous book "Discovery Of India" in Ahmednagar Fort.

 

Ahmednagar Fort is an ancient structure, located about 1 km to the east of Ahmednagar, in Maharashtra. Built by Ahmed Nizamshah in 1490, this circular shaped fort features 18 m high walls supported by 22 bastions. During the 1942 Quit India Movement, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Maulana Azad and other national leaders were imprisoned in the Ahmednagar Fort. One can see the Leaders room, where Nehru and the other national leaders were imprisoned. Some rooms in the fort have been converted to a museum. The fort is now occupied by the Indian army.  The nearest airport is at Pune (120 km).
