Committee Mission Statement 

The Industrial Relations Committee of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture endeavors to promote good industrial relations and fair practices which consequently generates conducive employee response, and a safe working environment within its member organizations and the wider business community by providing, immediate, up-to-date and relevant advisory and training services in collaboration with experts in the field, Industries and educational institutions.

 

 

Objectives of IR Committee

1. To keep the members informed about the developments in respect of Governments Labour Policy and proposed Labour Legislation, current I.R. issues, events and settlements.

 

2. To set up I.R. Cell in MCCIA At least one of our Committee Member will be available in MCCIA on one scheduled day for 2 hours

 

3. To provide platform to IR professionals for sharing their views and also an opportunity for the betterment of their career

 

4. To utilise the chambers official magazine SAMPADA to disseminate information, which has bearing on the Industrial Relations aspects?. Share information on, recent judgments.

 

5. To represent the chamber before all   such   Authorities   which are connected with management of Industrial Relations.

 

6. To prepare Representation or such other unified form of action to voice concern on behalf of the chamber.

 

7. To liaise with similar such professional organisations or NGOS for synergetic approach   to issues of common interest.

 

8. To initiate such steps from time to time and advise chamber on matters affecting or influencing I.R. policies of constituent members.

 

9. Training and development via seminars, workshops, luncheons or breakfast meetings and conferences focused on subjects relevant to industrial relations.

 

10. To start training programmes for

a) Worker Leaders

b) I.R for Non I.R personnel.

 

11. External Programmes geared towards the improvement of the socio-economic development of the country and involving.

 

12. The preparation of comments/recommendations/representations on behalf of the Chamber on new and pending legislation and, where appropriate, in collaboration with other Employers organizations.

 

13. Collaborate with other Employer Associations to establish common IR platform.

 

14. Collection of data on Wage and benefit of bargainable employees

 

15. Best Human Response Award.
