Railway, Road & Traffic Management

 Vision:

To make Pune Region a Safe, Convenient and Hassle Free place for Railway and Road Commuters.

Key Initiatives:

1. Representations to Central, State and Local governments in the matters concerning Safety, Security and Convenience of Railway and Road Commuters;  

2. Submission of Pre-Budget Memorandum to the Railway Ministry containing suggestions and proposals collected from a cross section of the citizens, railway commuters, NGOs, organizations about New Train Requirements, Infrastructure Issues, Other Services and Pune Division Requirements;

3. Representations to PMC, PCMC, Cant. Boards, Pune Police, State Transport, MSRDC etc., in connection with the activities handled by these bodies and departments

4. Efforts to include ‘Traffic Rules and Discipline’ in the School Curriculum with a purpose to inculcate traffic sense and discipline amongst the future vehicle users i.e. the children at School level. It is expected that if this is done, the traffic conditions in our country will improve in the long run;  

5. Representation through ZRUCC (Central Railway) seeking improvements in commuter friendly services.
