Polymer & Rubber

Objective:

The main mission of the Polymer & Rubber Committee is to continuously assist polymer &  rubber Industry as well as end users to upgrade and prove itself as a quality and quantity producer of polymer products to survive in the global competition.  The Committee also tries to create a proper image and awareness about plastics and its effect on environment in the public at large, Government and End-Users.        

Some of the activities undertaken by the committee include collection and updation of data of Polymer related industries in and around Pune, organising workshops , seminars and generally creating a platform for polymer related industries and end-users and disseminate relevant information to them. It is also envisioned to establish a Polymer Business Counseling Cell made up of experts from the industry and to create a special cell on Plastics and its effects on environment

More recently, the Committee has been instrumental in getting MCCIA representatives on the City Level Plastic Waste Management Committee formed by Pune Municipal Corporation
