OVERVIEW < PREAMBLE

An Animation & Gaming (A & G) Committee was formed in April 2007. The committee has prepared a “Strategic Plan “ for promoting,mentoring, and nurturing ( in short – incubating ) this budding sunrise industry in Pune. It has already conducted some key events involving experts from abroad in this field, for the benefit of the young aspirants from Pune.

MISSION

To make Pune “A Global Animation and Gaming Hub”

GOAL

To attract top global players in Animation and Gaming at Pune.

KEY INITIATIVES 

» To ensure that Government of Maharashtra has separate animation and gaming policy for development of the industry.

» To bring stake holders viz. training academia, local studios and buyers on a common platform.

» Forge commercial links with countries like USA,UK, Korea, Japan and China for overseas market development. 

» To improve and increase manpower for animation and gaming industry by –

               a.  Designing and implementing educational and training programs

               b.  Lectures, Presentations by eminent local and foreign speakers for the students.

               c.  Nurture Talent by establishing awards for the students, acknowledging their creativity.

TASKS

» To form an action group of professionals, training institutes and influential celebrities (brand ambassadors of Pune) and prepare a roadmap.  

» To make awareness at the Government, in public and business about the avenues and growth potential of the sector.

» To improve and increase manpower for animation and gaming industry by -

»  Helping Lower cost of entry for companies with the help of Maharshtra Government, private  infrastructure providers and

    financial institutes by -

               a. Setting up Animation incubators 

GIVING PUSH TO RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FOR CREATION OF OUR OWN IP's.

»  Showcasing strengths of Pune as Animation and Gaming Hub by arranging business delegations to various international

    markets and arranging conferences.
