Changing scenario in medical care, expensive medical treatments, advanced and new diseases related to work environment and lifestyle diseases, rising pollution levels in cities, stress & anxiety levels, complicated health issues, women & gynecology care, excessive use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs’, problems related to hemoglobin & lipids in the blood and so many complicated issues which have no permanent cure in modern medicine will be main focus of the healthcare committee of MCCIA
a) To facilitate health care in corporate sector, business houses & agriculture that includes health screening, check-ups, follow-ups, up-dates.
b) To train & educate doctors & health-professionals attached to the above categories at different levels of health care, proper use of medical facilities, emergency medical care,
c) To reduce the monetary burden of medical bills of the industrial & agricultural sector
d) Cancer, Heart ailments, blood pressure, diabetes, orthopedic problems i.e. related to joints, bones & muscles, infertility & impotence, strokes; are rising at an alarming rate; MCCIA could help society at large by bringing responsible agencies on common platform; viz. hospitals, doctors & specialists, pharmaceuticals companies, experts from the field of Yoga, Ayurveda, dietetics & nutrition, physiotherapists, doctors from sports injuries & sports medicine, clinical psychologists.
e) To conduct health work-shops & seminars at safety weeks or health weeks - MCCIA could provide certain facilities and platform to create awareness.
f) To introduce the power of Yoga to the expatriate community in Pune and visiting foreign delegates.
The need of the hour, however, is not only to achieve medical excellence in curing the sick, but also and perhaps more importantly, to prevent people from becoming sick in the first place.
