Act for Women Safety

Dear Member,



You may be aware that the “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act” came into existence some time back and the Act is applicable to all the establishments. The Act mandates different initiatives to be taken by the establishments amongst them is the formation of an Internal Complaints Committee. There are many obligations under the act vested with the employer.


SEMAA (Stop Exploitation,  Molestation, Abuse and Assault )  is an initiative commenced about an year back under the leadership of Mrs. Anu Aga, Mrs. Vandana Chavan and Mr. Pradeep Bhargava. This initiative has prepared lot of instructional, awareness  and implementation material which is very useful to understand the Act as well as the steps required to be taken under the Act. We are pleased to provide a link to this material, which we are confident , would be very useful to you.
