Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture is authorised to issue Non Preferential Certificate of Origin to the exporters from Pune region. The Certificate of Origin issued by our Chamber is valid for all countries with which India has normal trade links. There could be some occasions where it would have to be legalised by the Diplomatic Missions of other countries (mainly countries in the Gulf).
This Document instills confidence in your buyers and the customs authorities of the respective countries about the place of Origin of the products exported. It also promotes the Made in India brand which we all are proud of.
The Chamber can issue Certificate of Origin issued from us for each of your export consignments. We are offering this facility at three of our offices on all the working days of the Chamber from 1030 – 1630 hrs :

The formats for Certificate of Origin (Rs. 2.5 per copy), Invoice, Proforma Invoice and Packing List (Re 1 per copy for each of the forms) are available at all our offices mentioned above.
Those of you who would like to avail of the facility of Certificate of Origin for the first time ever, you have to execute an Indemnity Bond in favour of the Chamber (in the prescribed format which can be made available on request).
For the correct Origin Criteria (column 8 of the format of Certificate of Origin), we request you to refer to the Commerce Ministry’s website : http://www.commerce.nic.in/trade/international_ta.asp?id=2&trade=i.
In case the particular export consignment is not covered by any of the Preferential Trading Arrangements or do not contain any imports, you have to mention “Not Applicable”.
The prevailing charges for certification are :
Rs. 80 for MCCIA members and Rs. 90 for non members - per set of 5 documents for each category of documents (Certificate Origin, Invoice, Packing List and other documents)
Rs. 20 per additional copy for each of the documents.
For those of you who wish to avail of this facility regularly, you can keep a deposit with the Chamber which will be debited each time you get the documents certified.
