Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) is a premier industry association with over 2500 members from different sectors like Automotive and Auto Ancillaries, Electronics, Agribusiness, Information Technology, Bio-Technology, Environmental Technologies, Chemicals, etc. It is one of the most active Chambers of Commerce in India catering to Pune and around region. It has been catalyst for economic development of Pune and has continuously strived to make Pune a global business destination. |

The Chamber renders service to its members not only in giving assistance and advice but also in representing - at the ministerial and departmental level - the views of its members. The Chamber represents on various committees of the Government at local & national level, where issues relating to Trade, Industry and Commerce are taken up. MCCIA, during its over seven decades of service, has promoted Trade, Industry and business from Pune and has also been instrumental in promotion of various institutions like Bank of Maharashtra, The Pune Stock Exchange, The Container Freight Station as well as in development of three industrial estates at Hadapsar, Pune-Satara Road and Ramtekadi. |

The Chamber has 32 Committees headed by reputed experts in various areas of interest to the industry such as Agriculture, IT, BT, Foreign Trade, Electronics, Finance Sector, Defence Supplies, Polymer, etc. Each of these Committees has a specific mission statement and strenuous efforts are being made by these Committees to achieve the objectives set for it. |

Mahratta Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) was founded by Late Mr A. R. Bhat in 1934 to accelerate the industrial growth in and around Pune. Mr Bhat was a journalist and an economist and was the General Manager of the famous Marathi newspaper 'Kesari'. Thus the first office of the MCCI was established in 'Kesari' premises. |

In 1947 the Chamber moved to their own premises on Tilak Road, Pune. In 1998 agricultural activities were also included in the scope of the Chamber's activities and MCCI became MCCIA. In July 2006 most of the offices shifted to the modern office at the MCCIA trade Tower on Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. |
