Agriculture and Food sector is a dynamic sector which comprises of a broad spectrum of activities. The Entrepreneurs need financial assistance / loan from Banks & Financial Institutions. To obtain Business Loan, the entrepreneur has to prepare and submit a detailed loan proposal illustrating source of Own Funds / Seed Capital, Project Cost, Cash Flow & Work Flow Statements, Security, Income Generation & Repayment, Schedule of Implementation and Business Prospects to the Banks. The ideal bankable proposal should cover what the Entrepreneur has in mind and get it properly reflected in his brief Project Report and also in the Loan Application.

Considering this need of entrepreneurs, MCCIA would be organizing a Seminar on ‘Preparation of a Successful Bankable Proposal for Agriculture & Food Units’. Medium of instruction will be English as well as Marathi.   The details of the seminar are as follows:


Faculty: Dr. N. B. Shete has M.Sc., Ph.D. in Agriculture from IARI, New Delhi. He is experienced Professor in the field of Agriculture & Rural Banking. He had an honour to work as a Professor of National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM) for 34 years. His specialization is on Rural Banking, Agricultural Supply Chain Financing, and Agricultural Project Financing. His Research Studies at NIBM resulted into developing new policy guidelines for the RBI and NABARD.


Topics:  Basic & General information about Documentations required for Detailed Project Report (DPR), Model Loan Application Form, Sources of Finance, Project Profile, Technical Feasibility & Finance Viability, Lending Terms (Unit Cost, Margin Money, Rate of Interest, Cash Flow & Work Flow Statements, Security, Revenue/Income Generation & Repayment Period, Insurance), Project Cost, Marketing & Business Prospects, Schedule of Implementation, Documents & Clearances required, Scrutiny by the Bank, Sanctioning Process and Loan Disbursement. 


Who can participate:  The seminar would be mainly suitable for those who need Bank Finance, Loan and Cash Credit, New Agri-Food Entrepreneurs, Growers, Food Business Operators,  Exporters and Farmers who wish to start an Agri-Food industry; Growers, Officials of Commodity Growers Associations & APMCs, Warehouse business people, Importers & Exporters, Export Houses persons, Farmer Groups, Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs/FPOs).
